Our conference program is designed to create a space for Indigenous peoples and nations to come together and share ideas, using their perspectives and knowledges to reclaim and determine the way forward for IDSov and IDGov in their respective nations. The first two days of the Conference will be exclusively for Indigenous peoples and communities. We are welcoming governments and other non-Indigenous organisations and individuals to join the conference on the third and final day to discuss how they are supporting the enactment of IDSov and IDGov through the governance of Indigenous data. While we will offer formal and structured sessions for delegates to attend, we have intentionally created space and opportunity for unstructured networking to take place including events, yarning spaces, cultural activities and an exhibition space to be operating across all three conference days.
More detail on the program will be available soon. The program is subject to change.
Conference organisers and key stakeholders live and work across the homelands of many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We pay our respect to their Elders, past and present, and acknowledge their continuing connection to their lands, waters, culture and heritage. Always was, always will be.
